Anal Cancer is sometimes misdiagnosed as Anal Warts

It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Anal Warts, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Anal Cancer.

Anal cancer is cancer of the anus or end of the digestive tract. Symptoms of anal cancer include pain or pressure in the anal canal, discharge or lump near the anus and a change in bowel habits. Anal cancer can be misdiagnosed as haemorrhoids, anal fissure, fistulas, and anal warts.
