Constipation is sometimes misdiagnosed as Crohn Disease

It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Crohn Disease, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Constipation.

Constipation is alleviated by taking laxatives as a first option. If laxatives don’t work, prescription medication is available to help relieve the condition. Chronic constipation can be reduced by diet changes such as increasing fiber intake. Daily exercising can also help. Apart from diagnosing chronic constipation, the doctor will try to find the cause of the constipation as treating the cause may relive the symptoms.

Bloated belly, abdominal cramps, reduced bowel movement, hard and dry stools, pain while passing stools, straining to pass stools, more time in toilet, sensation bowel not empty
