Type 2 Diabetes is sometimes misdiagnosed as Cushing Disease

It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Cushing Disease, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Type 2 Diabetes.

There is no cure for type 2 diabetes, but treatments are mainly focused on managing the condition and keeping blood sugar levels normal. Treatment options including eating healthy, being physically active and maintain a healthy weight, taking oral medications, and taking insulin. Very high levels of sugar in the blood can cause life threatening emergency conditions. Also, long term diabetes can cause heart problems. Diagnosis is done through blood tests that measure the sugar level in the blood. The tests can be random or fasting blood sugar tests. Another test is the glucose tolerance test.
