Soft Tissue Sarcoma is sometimes misdiagnosed as Deep Vein Thrombosis DVT

It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis DVT, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Soft Tissue Sarcoma.

Diagnosed as a DVT by scanner, confirmed by specialist with further scans. Many months of pushing for a new diagnosis, convinced it wasn't a DVT but being told otherwise. Eventually confirmed as cancer.

Always consult your doctor or health professional, and do not self diagnose.

Symptoms can include:

Leg pain, leg pain worse at night, ache, throbbing pain, sleepless nights

Symptoms are a guideline only and may apply to either the diagnosis or the reported misdiagnosis, or both. Consult your specialist for further information.
