Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma is sometimes misdiagnosed as Endodontic Lesion

It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Endodontic Lesion, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

Non-hodgkin’s lymphoma is a type of cancer that begins in your lymph nodes where white blood cells called lymphocytes grow abnormally and can form tumours throughout the body. Symptoms include swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpits or groin, abdominal pain or swelling, chest pain, coughing, trouble breathing, persistent fatigue, fever, night sweats, and unexplained weight loss. Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma can be misdiagnosed as endodontic disease if near the mouth, influenza, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, human immunodeficiency virus, and mononucleosis.

Abdominal pain or swelling, chest pain, swollen lymph nodes armpits, swollen lymph nodes in neck, swollen lymph nodes in groin, coughing, trouble breathing, persistent fatigue, fever, night sweats, unexplained weight loss
