Thyroid Cancer is sometimes misdiagnosed as Hypothyroidism

It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Hypothyroidism, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Thyroid Cancer.

Thyroid cancer of the gland that produces hormones which regulate your heart rate, blood pressure, temperature and weight. Symptoms include a lump that can be felt through the skin on the neck, changes to the patients voice like increasing hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, pain the neck and throat and swollen lymph nodes in the neck. Thyroid cancer can be misdiagnosed as goitres caused by hypothyroidism and head and neck cancers.
