Kidney Cancer is sometimes misdiagnosed as Kidney Stones

It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Kidney Stones, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Kidney Cancer.

Kidney cancer is cancer that begins in the kidneys. The most common type is renal cell carcinoma. Kidney cancer is usually caught at an early stage and is easily treated. In the early stages it has no symptoms. More advanced kidney cancer results in blood in the urine, pain in your back or side that does not go away, loss of appetite, unexplained weight loss, tiredness and fever. Half of all kidney cancer is misdiagnosed at first for diseases such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, or respiratory problems. If misdiagnosed the kidney cancer will progress and could be fatal.

Always consult your doctor or health professional, and do not self diagnose.
