Toothache is sometimes misdiagnosed as Neuralgia

It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Neuralgia , when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Toothache.

A dentist checks the tooth area to determine the cause of the toothache. X-ray images of the affected area help in determining the cause of the toothache, Toothache can be relieved by removing the decay and applying a filling if the decay is in the early stages. If the decay has reached the roots, a root canal is required. Antibiotics may be required to reduce the infection prior. If left untreated, root decay can lead into abscess as well as the infection spreading to the face.

Always consult your doctor or health professional, and do not self diagnose.
