It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Pheochromocytoma, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Hypoglycaemia (low Blood Sugar).
Untreated hypoglycaemia can result in seizures or loss of consciousness. Treatment is usually through consuming sugar and then testing blood levels around 15 minutes after consumption. If levels are still low, the same steps are repeated. Diagnosis is made by testing blood sugar levels.
