It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Sarcoma, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Breast Cancer (male).
When diagnosed early, male breast cancer has a good cure and survival rate. Treatment options include surgery to remove the cancer as well as the breast tissue surrounding it. Radiation, hormone and chemotherapy are next line treatment options. Breast cancer in males is diagnosed by a physical exam. The doctor may feel the breasts and the area around them looking for lumps. Imaging tests such as breast X-ray, mammogram r ultrasounds are also beneficial. To confirm diagnosis, a biopsy must be ordered.
